Whether it be for teaching others to share our passion, breeding, training or just enjoying their company. The farm is home to around twenty of our equine friends, who have the freedom of over sixty acres of rolling countryside to develop and grow naturally.
Please take the time to explore our site, even if only to see pictures of our lovely horses. Click the image on the right to take a tour around the farm and find out just how unique we are.

Our aim is to offer a wide range of equestrian services and activities to all levels of ability - from the very beginner venturing onto a horse for the first time to the experienced rider with many saddle hours under their belt. These include - Riding lessons with qualified instructors; Riding out both in the safety of the farm and out in the Cornish countryside including accompanied local rides and events; Training of customers and their horses; Seminars, clinics and workshops.
As well as being an Approved Riding School we are also one if the few BHS Places to Train in the region.
Polmartin Riding offers stunning, varied and safe riding all through the year which includes hills, meadows, tracks and water features. There are miles of trails and tracks around the farm (fenced to ensure your safety) which means that no two rides are ever the same. We have a sand school for lessons and training and an indoor school for when the sun isn't shining.
Whatever your chosen activity, one thing is common - we believe that it should be fun for you, the horse and us. This is reflected in our relaxed style and surroundings which will ensure your visit to us will be enjoyable and memorable.
We are situated close to the lovely village of Lanreath which is only a couple of miles from Looe and the beautiful South East Cornish coastline. We are also close to the villages of Pelynt, Polperro and Lerryn as well as the larger towns of Liskeard, Bodmin and Lostwithiel.
To get to us from Plymouth take the A38 over the Tamar Bridge and past Liskeard to Dobwalls and then the A390 towards St Austell and Truro. After a couple of miles (at East Taphouse) turn onto the B3359 towards Looe and then after 1 mile take the first right and then left after 50 yards (follow the signs for Porfell Animal Land). Pass Porfell on your right and we are next on the left after about 200 yards.
