Socrates was born chestnut and has gone grey with time. He was born on Polmartin Farm, but sadly suffered a real blow early in his life when his mother died at twenty six in the field. He has such a fine character and never appeared to suffer any depression and has come into his own since being ridden.
Since he had to rely on Jane so much for feeding he really loves people. Thanks to his mother Shereen and father Oberlix, he has fantastic genes for endurance and will go to great heights.
Socrates has completed two endurance rides with customers at Boconnoc and is a pleasure to ride.
